Berry-Nuttie Smoothie

High in vitamin C, blueberries and strawberries are one of the healthiest fruits around due to their high antioxidant content.

Antioxidants boost energy and fight fatigue. The addition of protein powder combined with the rich creamy flavors of almond or peanut butter and yogurt makes this smoothie a balancing meal or snack and an all star favorite. Simple and easy to make.

Ingredients:
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
¼ cup frozen strawberries
4-6 tablespoons plain yogurt
2 tablespoons flax oil
2-4 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter, or almond butter
2-4 scoops protein powder
1 ¾ cups purified water
1 cup ice (optional)

Directions:
Place ingredients in a blender. Blend until rich and creamy, approximately 2 -3 minutes.

Yield: Serves 2

Chocolate Protein, Berry, Banana, Spinach, Almond Milk Smoothie

Ingredients:
1 handful fresh spinach
1 small handful raw almonds
1 scoop chocolate protein powder, plant based
1/2 large banana, frozen
1 cup frozen berries of your choice (blackberries, raspberries, blueberries)
1 cup almond or coconut milk
1 cup filtered water
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds, optional

Directions:
Blend all the ingredients into a high powered blender or Nutri-Bullet. Serve immediately

Strawberry Oat Smoothie

Ingredients:
8 ounces of unsweetened almond milk
10 strawberries
1 small banana or 1/2 large
2 tablespoons raw, old fashioned oats
1 date, pitted
1 scoop of plant-based protein powder (pea, rice, not soy)
2 cups fresh baby bok Choy leaves (discard white stems) or spinach

Instructions:
Start by adding the liquid and protein powder to your blender, followed by the oats and fruit. Add the greens to your blender last. Blend on high for 30 second or until the smoothie is creamy.
